Module 3

First thing, I just drove to work to complete this along with some other homework. I live literally a half mile away, and it took me 20 minutes to get here. Whats up with this place and lake effect snow. Also, the spell check doesn't seem to be working, so if anything is misspelled, I apologize.

1) The communication Models I would need to consider is video-confrencing and the way people work with their emails. Video confrencing is important because of how groups and companies work. Time is impartive so if you don't waste a day getting from point a to point b then there is more time to complete the work. Email is also important because it seems to be the way most people communicate to each other. So I would try and incorporate it as best as possible.

2) How would I address the following?
a) Knowledge step- I would incorporate and use the necaserry research to bring together all the possible research to improve and revise my project
b) Persuasion Step- Using this information I would be able to convince people of the usefulness of my ideas
c) Decision- I would allow for open communication and discussion to reach the decision
d) Implementation- I would use all the different technology at my disposale to spread the use of the project and implement it
e) I would confirm the usefulness of the idea by research and conducting surveys on areas that need improvement

3) I would nees to consider how much time and money that would be available to me to complete and implement my project. Money talks!

Got to love that lake effect!! As for your module 3, I would like to see what kind of persuasion you would use in your persuasion step. I think there should be a few examples that should be listed here to give us a better idea of what you could use. I do like the idea of video conferencing and the use of email.

Brendan,
I like the fact that you are using research to acquire information at the knowledge step. Your innovation will be based on empirical data and people are likely to accept it because of the 'sound' nature of the information presented to them. How will the implementation be conducted? As a pilot study to be adopted by others at a later time or will it be instituted for everyone at the same time?

My understanding of the steps is that they were more about how you are going to raise awareness in your target adopters? What mechanism/format/approach would you take? Would it be printed materials? Formal presentations? Perhaps just casual conversation? You've identified fairly ubiquitous media, but what about instant messaging? I am part of a geographically distributed team myself and I know I spend a lot of time instant-messaging my colleagues for quick answers — or to annoy them.

Am I way off base here?
